We Don't Want to Just Sing and Dance Anymore

It's a funny day when the shows that used to make singers and dancers a mainstream thing in Arabic culture are now changing the story and pretending that the have played a role in the new Arab revolutions. I doubt they had anything to do with anything you see right now in Arabia.

I like singing and dancing but shows like Star Academy and now Arabs Got Talent who were used by the rulers to distract the people from their real pains and trouble. Like you are hungry, go here dance. You want to vote, sure go vote for your favorite singer on this channel.

I am not belittling the role of entertainment, we all loved it and we all saw how the revolutionaries enjoyed music and singing during the dark days of their protest days. but for those silly celebrities who have kept the people at arm's length, it's rather ugly to come and make themselves as the heroes, they are not. All the care about is ratings and keeping the censor happy. I got news for them, the censor has been taking out now--thanks to the youth. but the bad news, the youth got a bigger fish to fry, they do not want to dance and sing 24/7 as your shows ask them to do, they want to build a country.
